Discusses his own writings for PR on current affairs, notes that there are some opponents to his point of view (naming Alex Comfort as an example). Mentions a forthcoming book "made up from all the broadcasts sent out to India by my department". 6 August 1943 to Dwight Macdonald discussing the distribution of PR. 10 December 1937 to Brailsford discussing details of the POUM fighting in Barcelona. Disputes aspects of Brailsford's article in the New Statesman of 22 May on the subject. 18 December 1937 to Brailsford, a long follow-up to the previous letter discussing in more detail the likelihood of the POUM fighting with stolen artillery and the POUM in general. Mentions Eileen, "Neither of us suffered any ill-effects from being in Spain, though; of course, the whole thing was terribly distressing and disillusioning." |
