| Description | Christopher Gillings was the Headmaster of Midhurst Intermediate School, West Sussex, a post from which he retired on his appointment to the Committee of Inquiry into Reading and the use of English, in 1972.
These papers reflect the full scope of Gillings' activities as part of the Bullock Committee, including:
