DescriptionFramed photo-lithographic print of the College of Preceptors building in Bloomsbury Square by James Akerman, 6 Queens Square London.
The building was designed by Frederick Pinches who was appointed to the Council in March/April 1885. The lithograph is Pinches' design submitted in May 1885. The new site of the College of Preceptors was on the old site of three buildings on the south side of Bloomsbury Square, using the site of one building from Southampton Row. the building was opened in 1887 by the Prince of Wales. It is not know whether Pinches original design was adopted and the building no longer stands.
