Letters dated 1947-1948 from Poul Helveg Jespersen to Lady Emma Nora Barlow [Granddaughter of Charles Darwin], regarding her publications on Charles Darwin; Jespersen's Darwin research, and his intention to study "Darwiniana"; and regarding his efforts to locate and publish the Darwin-Steenstrup letters. Plus two letters from O J R Howarth to Barlow regarding the Darwin-Steenstrup letters.
Letters to De Beer dated 1960-1968 regarding his article in The Observer concerning Darwinism; regarding the debate over Lamarckism and Lamarck's contributions to evolutionary science; De Beer's research into the state of Darwin's health; regarding various book reviews by De Beer; and De Beer's planned biography of Darwin.
