Description | Notes for first year lecture courses delivered by E S Pearson on the subjects of interpolation and quadrature.
Accompanying the bundles was an explanatory note written by E S Pearson in 1971: "This was ESP's first lecture course. During the year 1921-1922 he and J O Irwin probably only attended KP's 1st and 2nd year courses on statistics, while E C Rhodes may have lectured on interpolation quadrature, smoothing etc. At the end of the 1921-1922 session Rhodes shifted to the LSE and Irwin gave a lecture course on probability, ESP on interpolation and quadrature. Each gave one lecture a week." |
