| Arrangement | Letters between 1926-1930 were found as a single group covering the whole range of these dates but arranged alphabetically by surname (or name of institution). Letters from 1931 onwards were found arranged by date then in roughly alphabetical order. There seems to have been normally two files per year, one file for Jan-Jun and a new file for Jul-Dec. Sometimes there is overlap in dates, or sometimes duplication where two separate files cover the same time period. The reason for these anomalies is not apparent, and the arrangement has been left as found. |
