| Description | Whilst working for the ILEA Gene Adams produced a general guide on museums visits for ILEA teachers. The leaflet was gradually expanded and by the end of the 1970s it comprised an explanatory leaflet giving advice on setting up class visits and 3 colour coded charts listing museums and galleries who provided education activities in inner and outer London. The charts listed addresses, exhibits, opening hours, local transport, contact details of the education officer, and amenities for schools. The guides were sent out to ILEA schools but were also sent to other schools by request. |
