DescriptionIndenture of apprenticeship between Samuel Tertius Galton, the apprentice, and Thomas Corrie of Lancaster, merchant. The apprenticeship to last for seven years. Made with the agreement of Samuel Tertius Galton's father, Samuel John Galton, for a consideration of £500. Witnessed by James Keir, chemist and inventor, and James Watt, inventor and mechanical engineer.
