DescriptionTwo letters from J C Clarke of Millbank Prison to Galton regarding Clarke's work on craniometry whilst he was based at Pentonville Prison. Clarke describes how he took measurements of prisoners' heads by bending a soft sheet of lead from the forehead to the back of the neck and tracing the resulting outline onto paper. He sent these results to Galton, see GALTON/2/8/2/2.
