Ms and ts tables, notes and graphs containing information on birth weights, maternal age, date of birth, type of delivery, past pregnancies, obstetric complications etc., at Harperbury Hospital and UCH, also containing a small amount of data from Queen Charlotte's and Chelsea Hospital, and Guy's Hospital. Data is only partly anonymised, and consists of:

Ms paper entitled 'Analysis of a succession of quarterly weights of men and women patients of Harperbury Hospital' by M N Karn, with tabulated data and letter from the Central Office of Information, 1954-1955.
Tabulated data on weights of newborns at Harperbury Hospital for the period January 1954 to January 1955, labelled 'These not used because no ages given, fuller data given later'.
Male birth weights at Harperbury Hospital, arranged by ward over a 15 month period, from January 1954 to March 1955.
Female birth weights at Harperbury Hospital, arranged by ward, over 15 month period, from January 1954 to March 1955.
Birth weights from UCH for 1939-1946.
Mother and child patient data from UCH for the years 1938, 1939, 1941, 1942, 1944, and 1946.
Data sent to Karn by Dr Scott, including mothers' past pregnancies and complications.
Data on births of mothers over 45 years old, from Queen Charlotte's and Chelsea Hospital, Guy's Hospital and UCH.
