Publications include a critical edition (1886) and German (1885) and English (1905) translations of Judah ha-Levi's Kuzari; 'Arabic Chrestomathy in Hebrew Characters' (1892); a Hebrew translation of Isaac Israeli's Book of Definitions (1896); 'Descriptive Catalogue of the Hebrew Mss. of the Montefiore Library' (1904); 'Yefet ibn Ali's (Karaite) Arabic Commentary on Nahum' (1911); 'Qirqisani Studies' (1918); 'Literary History of Hebrew Grammarians and Lexicographers' (1926); various studies on the Koran; numerous articles in various journals concerning problems of Arabic and Hebrew philology and bibliography; died 1934.
