TitleSalary Registers
Date1901-1971
DescriptionThe first volumes, 1901-1905, are arranged type of teacher: regular staff; extra, unclassed, junior and student teachers employed for regular classes; and teachers of extra subjects. Information typical includes, date of appointment, class they supervised, salary and 'minute' (where they appear in the Teachers Committee minute books), and remarks (usually subject they taught). The section covering teachers of extra subject only contains name, subject taught, and fees paid for each term.

In 1906 a new tri-annual register was introduced which lists staff paid by salary (teachers and non-teaching permanent staff) including name, salary per annum, date of birth, date of appointment, date of leaving and other remarks; summary of costs of regular salaries including numbers of pupils and cost per pupils; salaries for extra subjects including subject, name of teacher who taught the subject, their salary and fees received from pupils. Inside the front cover are written notes about staff policy and categories of teachers and also include some pasted in letters about individual members of staff.

In 1953 the format changes and the registers are large ring binders rather than bound volumes which contain the same information except they no longer hold statistics on costs of salaries per pupils or pasted in letters on individual members of staff.
