Description | Diary kept by Colonel Giles during 1922 whilst serving as British Commissioner on the Albanian Boundary Commission.
Giles comments on meetings with the other Commissioners, administrative issues and problems with communications such as transport and incoming and ougoing post. He also comments on the weather, which in the winter hampered the Commission's progress, as well as his general impressions of Albania. Additionally he mentions some social engagements.
The diary also contains a personal letter in French dated 25 September 1922, Scutari, possibly from Billany. |
