TitleUniversity of London
Date1828-1837
DescriptionGeorge Greenough’s papers regarding his involvement with the University of London. These papers are all handwritten, and consist of resolutions of the council, template letters, template contracts, correspondence, and statements. They cover the details of professorships at the university, and an investigation by a Select Committee into the running of the university.

This file also includes a small number of documents regarding student statistics, university premises, and finances, which include a few paragraphs on resolutions regarding University College and Kings College.

Note that the Greenough archive arrived at UCL in two separate accessions (part A and B); as part A had already been catalogued when part B arrived, additional material was not interfiled. Similar material can therefore be found at GREENOUGH/A/18-23/19.
