initial letter from C Claydon dated 10 March 1943 requesting permission to reproduce articles for a booklet, and whether Haldane would write an additional preface;</p><p><br />
letter from Claydon dated 19 March 1943 thanking Haldane for permitting them to use the articles and his agreement to writing a preface;</p><p><br />
letter from Claydon dated 29 May 1943 regarding photos and illustrations for the booklet;</p><p><br />
letter from Claydon dated 21 Jun 1943 about the prospective publishers of the booklet, Lawrence & Wishart, and Haldane's reply on the reverse dated 26 July 1943 enclosing the preface for the booklet;</p><p><br />
letter from Claydon dated 6 Aug 1943 requesting a correction to the preface, and asking for Haldane's decision on what to do with royalty payments;</p><p><br />
letter from Claydon dated 2 May 1944 stating the cause of the delay to the publication of the proposed booklet, and the desire to increase its size. The letter encloses titles of twelve additional articles for inclusion;</p><p><br />
letter from Haldane's secretary dated 31 May 1944 permitting the use of the additional articles, and requesting proofs for correction;</p><p><br />
letter from Claydon to Haldane dated 1 September 1944 stating that Cobbett Publishing Co. Ltd. will be publishing the articles as a book and have sent the galley proofs. Encloses a list of the articles included in the publication;</p><p><br />
letter from Haldane dated 18 September 1944 regarding proposed changes to the form of publication, and stating that the changes are outside the terms under which he initially granted permission for the articles to be used.
