Description | Letters between E White and J B S Haldane regarding a request from White for a message of greeting to include in his weekly column in the Daily Worker in New York. White's initial letter dated 5 December encloses a specimen of his column, and a leaflet titled "The Rev and Mrs White Explain" explaining their reasons for joining the Communist Party. Haldane's reply dated 27 January 1945 contains his message for the paper, and White's final letter dated 27 February 1945 thanks Haldane for his contribution, and encloses the page of the paper featuring Haldane's statement, headed "Message from London". |
