Description	Letter from John Horner, General Secretary of the Fire Brigades' Union, inviting Haldane to become Vice President of a new organisation to be known as "The League of Firemen and Civil Defenders". Annotated at the top of the first page to indicate that the letter was answered on the 18th January by Haldane's secretary and afterwards by Haldane himself.
