Title | Letter from Jean François De Luc, in Amsterdam to his father Jean André De Luc, in London |
Date | 14 Jun 1781 |
Description | Relating details of his recent trip to The Hague and listing the people he saw there that were both known by his father and himself, such as Mlle Allar, Mme Chais and Mr and Mme Perrenot. Jean François explains that he had become increasingly interested in Mlle L., but had thought that he would never be considered as an acceptable suitor due to his lack of money. However, he now believed that Mlle L. might have had feelings for him. He concludes the letter by talking about his work and the fact that business was due to increase shortly. |
