| Description | Explaining that he had arrived safely in The Hague and that he had been pleased to see that Mrs Perronot was recovering well from a long illness. Jean François writes to his father that he thought that Mr Vernède had not been as disappointed by his absence as he had originally believed. In fact, he had written to him a very positive letter wishing him to recover as quickly as possible after his fever. He also assured him that everyone in the office would support him, including himself. |
