Description | Anne Corpé, a 70 year old widow, requests to be admitted to the Hospital. Her father was Pierre Duboc and her grandfather, Isaac Duboc, was a Huguenot refugee from Picardy. Anne works in the silk industry but her eyesight is poor and so is the quality of her work. As a result, she cannot earn enough to be financially independent and has no relatives who can help. A note in another hand by J L Chirol, Pastor, states that whilst he does not know Anne he believes that the information given is truthful. The petition is also signed by Jaque Mousset and Pierre Bertrand. Overleaf, attached to the petition is an official copy of the entry in the Baptism Register for Anne Duboc, made in St Leonards, Shoreditch on 11 February 1829. She was born on 2 February 1757 and her parents are named as Ann and Isaac Duboc. |
