DescriptionCharles Pomier, a 60 year old man, requests to be admitted to the Hospital. He is originally from Poitou. He suffers from scurvy and rheumatism so can no longer work and has no one who can take care of him. Pinned to the petition is a certificate by Dr J Jacquin confirming that Charles' left leg is swollen and he has several ulcers on his left thigh and knee, dated 21 Dec 1770. The petition is undated and signed by Elie Brilly, Pastor; Jean Jaques Le Jeune, Secretary at the French Church of Leicesterfields; Louis Martineau; Antoine Dupuy; Peter Mounier and Etienne Amiot.
