Description | John Hall, an 84 year old widower, requests to be admitted to the Hospital. He was born on 26 July 1760. His parents were Joseph Hall and Jane Servet. John's maternal grandfather, Peter Servet, was originally from Besançon, but had to flee to England to avoid religious persecution. He died at the Hospital circa 50 years prior to the petition being made and had previously been employed by the French Hospital as a keeper of the lodge.
