| Description | Rachel Gardner, a 76 year old widow, requests to be admitted to the Hospital. She was born on 29 August 1778. Her parents were Rachel Le Gros and Louis Tourelle. The latter's father, also called Louis, was originally from the South of France, and became a member of the French Church of London after arriving in England. Rachel Gardner's father was also a member of the Church. The petitioner used to be a silk weaver, but can no longer work due to poor eyesight and other conditions. The petition bears Rachel Gardner's mark and is signed by William Bullock.
