Description | Includes: (i) original codicil, signed and sealed 8 September 1733, to his will of August 1733, in which he requested the Directors of the Hospital to name a co-executor. (He was nephew and executor of Peter Daudé, who died in January 1732/3 leaving substantial bequests to the Hospital). There are also references to a Chelsea pensioner named Blancher and a shoemaker, Roussire (doubtless Denis Roussière), to whom he asked the Directors to pay a pension pending his admission to the Hospital. (ii) receipt for £200 bequest, from the Charity 'La Soupe', 11 September 1733, found with the Dufour Charity papers (7 signatures). |
