Description | Estimates, bills, architect's certificates, orders to the Treasurer for payment, schedules comparing tradesmen's estimates, and the Treasurer's account of receipts and payments. Papers relating to George Wright, carpenter, include two letters of attorney by which (presumably owing to financial difficulties) his interest was twice transferred to other parties. |
AdminHistory | An estimate and plan for rebuilding the 'bakehouse wing' of the Hospital were considered by the Court on 14 July 1762, a modified estimate of £1500-1600 was approved on 12 January 1763, and a printed appeal for funds (see H/F/3/9) was issued. The work was described as finished in January 1765, and the cost stated as £1600. By this time the appeal fund had reached £1570. The architect was again Boulton Mainwaring. |
