AdminHistoryEarly as well as later correspondence of the Hospital must have been systematically destroyed, perhaps at the time of the move to Victoria Park in 1865 or even as late as the Second World War when the Hospital inmates were evacuated from London. There are also no letter-books of copy out-letters, though there are references to these in the 19th century.
A few early letters have survived, either by chance or kept because of their special interest.
