Date21699-1763
DescriptionThere are two paginations: 1-51 and 01-0101. Cover title: 'Registre du Consistoire de l'Eglise Francoise du rit Anglican...' On spine: 'Thorpe Fr. Cap. 1683'. Inside title: 'Registre des Actes du Consistoire...' Includes a list of contents.
Inserted at the beginning is a certificate of the attendances at eight army musters in 1650-1651 of Richard Warcupp, a private soldier; this is astray, having no relevance to the contents of the manuscript. Further on is another stray: a certificate of entry of members in the Catalogue of an Elder of a London church in 1792. On f 51v is a (cancelled) certification of deposit in the General Register Office, and a statement signed Jno. S. Burn, Sec. to the effect that this certification was written in error.
Extent1 volume
CustodialHistoryAccording to J S Burn, this manuscript was deposited by Jacques Grellet with Rev. Jacob Bourdillon, the Minister of the Artillerie Church in Spitalfields in 1772, and when l'Artillerie joined the Threadneedle Street Church this register with others was deposited there. To his description of the book of 'Actes', Burn appends some notes on the original register of baptisms, marriages and burials found in Threadneedle Street.
