Description | The will, proved in Prerogative Court of Canterbury April 1741, is in French, with an English translation by Philip Crespigny, 1741, and an affidavit by Peter Vaurigaud, peruke-maker and Charles Fouace, gentleman, 7 April 1741. The residual estate is left to the Société de Saintonge in trust, the interest to be employed for the apprenticing of children, especially those whose father or mother was from Montandre or Pons (in Saintonge). There are also bequests to various relations and friends, including life annuities. |
