| CustodialHistory | WS/C/1/2-5 were found in 1920 by E C Ouvry among records of the French Savoy Church and are described by Susan Minet in Appendix IV to her article 'cole de charité franaise de Westminster' in the Proceedings of the Huguenot Society (London: Huguenot Society of Great Britain and Ireland), vol. XII, pp. 91-117. Miss Minet or Mr Ouvry, as a loose slip of paper indicates, arranged for the first register of pupils (WS/C/1/1) to be rebound in the same boards and for a pocket to be made at the end to hold the items WS/C/1/2-5, in an 18th century rough brown paper envelope, perhaps made to hold WS/C/1/2 originally. WS/C/1/3-5 had been used to reinforce this envelope; they were steamed off and rescued by Mr Ouvry or Miss Minet. |
