Description	Comprises minutes and papers of the Examinations Council. There is one gap in the sequence, 1934-1936. For this period the minutes of the Training Colleges Delegacy also incude the minutes and reports of the the Examinations Council (see IE/1/TCD/A/6). From 1944 onwards minutes of the Training Colleges Delegacy and Examinations Council are interfiled and these have been catalogued at IE/1/TCD/A/12-13.

AdminHistory	The Council was appointed by the Training Colleges Delegacy. It was responsible for the preparation of examination regulations, the approval of syllabuses submitted by the Group Committees and the recommendation of Moderators and Examiners. The minutes of the Delegacy itself are catalogued at IE/1/TCD/A.
