| Description | The Arts Centre Committee was established in 1978 to encourage and support a healthy cultural and artistic life for the Institute. Its membership comprised of departmental/centre representatives and a representative from the Students' Union, with the Director, Deputy Director, Secretary and Registrar and Financial Secretary as ex-officio members. It oversaw a varied programme of activities encompassing art, design, dance, drama, film, music and literature and administered funds from central resources.
