| Description | The National Reference Library of Schoolbooks and Classroom Materials (formerly the National Textbook Reference Library) was housed at the Institute's Library. Copies of school text books and classroom materials were presented to the library by publisher-members of the Educational Publishers Council. In October 1982 a committee of interested bodies was formed by the Library Resources Committee, initially to write a Policy Statement and Proposed Plan, which was completed in April 1983. Comprises agendas, papers and minutes of meetings April 1983 - May 1984, a copy of the development plan and some correspondence.
This file was found in the papers of Denis Lawton, former Director of the Institute and appear to have been the papers of Professor Malcolm Skilbeck of the Curriculum Studies Department. |
