In 1974, Sheila Henderson took up a Research Lectureship at the Institute of Education, University of London, which was funded by the then 'Spastics Society'. In addition to studying children with cerebral palsy, she has studied the motor difficulties of children with Down Syndrome, children with Muscular Dystrophy, children with Asperger Syndrome, children born prematurely, children with Developmental Coordination Disorder (DCD), and children with handwriting difficulties. |
