Bridgman was born in New Zealand; graduated in English and French at University of New Zealand. - Teaching at the Otago University, Dunedin,New Zealand. - During his Diploma course at IOE he taught at Coopers Company school (Battersea). - His interest was in English literature and was member of the British Drama League(Otago branch). - He received the Stuart Prize for original poem at Otago University in 1922.
