Information as follows for archive reference WC/HR/2/3/27: Charlotte Louise Stone (1921-1997) was an art lecturer at Whitelands from the mid 1950s to 1968. She was also the tutor living in Beverley Gate and ‘some Beverley Gate students found in Charlotte Stone a lifelong friend’. Prior to Whitelands she taught in Uganda and she went on from Whitelands to become head of a private girls’ school in Horley, Surrey, and later became head of a church school in Papua New Guinea. |
