Title	Student Record Cards - Constituent Colleges

Description	Student records cards organised by college, then date of course completion, and then alphabetical by surname for students who studied at the constituent colleges that were part of the Area Training Organisation. Some cards were transferred to other archives (see field Custodial History). All the cards date from the 1970s until the early 1980s. The IOE Archives do not hold records from before 1972. No cards for the following colleges were transferred to the IOE Archives. Their location is unknown, with the exception of the Westminster College cards: - Acton College of Education - Chelsea Centre for Science Education - Barking Regional College of Technology - Brighton College of Arts & Crafts / Training College - Cavendish Square - Clapham & Streatham Hill Training College - National Society's Training College for Domestic Subjects - Seaford Training College for Teachers of Housecraft - St Katharine's College - St Madeline Sophie College - Westminster College (cards are held by Oxford Brookes University)
CustodialHistory	The constituent college student record cards were originally transferred to the archives in 2005. In 2010 the decision was taken to try to re-house the records with the main institutional archive for the colleges, where such collections were in existence. Between September and November 2010 the following institutions received cards for the following colleges: Brunel University: - Borough Road College 1973-1976; 1978 - Maria Grey College 1973-1977 - Shoreditch College 1973-1982 - Stockwell College 1973-1980 - West London Institute for Higher Education. Cards for 1977 are held by IOE Archives Ealing Local History Centre - Thomas Huxley College 1973-1980 Middlesex University: - Hornsey College 1973-1976 - Trent Park College. Cards for 1972-1973 are held by IOE Archives Southbank University: - Battersea College of Home Economics including Manresa Annex 1973-1979 University of East London - North East London Polytechnic University of Greenwich: - Avery Hill College 1974; 1979 - Dartford College 1973-1981. Cards for 1973 are held by IOE Archives - Garnett College 1973-1977. Cards for 1977-1982 are held by IOE Archives University of Westminster - Sidney Webb College 1973-1978 The student record cards for the remaining colleges remained at the Institute of Education Archives and have been catalogued.
