- A paper entitled ‘Language in Context; Evidence of the National Association For The Teaching Of English submitted to the Committee of Enquiry into Reading and the use of English set up by the Secretary of State under the Chairmanship of Sir Alan Bullock’ (April 1973, 21 pages).
- Evidence to the James Committee on Teacher Training.
- A NATE press release regarding the "Croydon essay caning case" (1971).
