Katz visited Sydney (6-12 May and 12 June-29 July) to work with Peter O Bishop at the University of Sydney, Canberra (13 May-11 June) to work with Sir John Carew ('Jack') Eccles at the Australian National University, Melbourne (18-20 June) and Brisbane (9-10 July) to give the John Thomson Memorial Lecture at the University of Queensland. Prior to his trip he visited Israel and Karachi, and returned to London via the USA on July 30th.
