The aim of the meeting was to build on the December 1991 meeting, drawing up recommendations for the scientific content of a Biochemical Engineering Science programme, the recommendations to be submitted to the EC for further consideration.
Lilly coordinated European biochemical engineering science in the Framework IV Programme. The biochemical engineering science Framework IV programme encapsulated the concept of biocatalyst-based factory process under the title 'Cell Factory'. |
