Description15 black and white photographs of the interior and exterior of Eveline Lowe Primary School, London. The photographs show the dining areas, shared spaces and play areas. Folder also contains an envelope with A4 plans of Eveline Lowe School.
Photos, all b/w, as listed below:
1. Exterior of the school, also shows high rise flats surrounding the school. Text on reverse 'Eveline Lowe, June 1971 (307/29) " the planning breaks down what might have been an institutional block into something more akin in character to a very small village within which one can wander without being aware of the whole."
2. Group of young children standing round a table. There is a set of scales on the table and one of them is weighing out flour into the scales. There is a teacher getting something out the oven beside them. Copyright - Freddie Squires Ltd 14-15 Rodmarton St, London, W1.
3. Group of children outside. three of them are standing round a rabbit hutch with the door open and a rabbit peeking out. 2 A4 plans of the Eveline Lowe, Rolls Road, School. One plan (reference PS 457 (2)) shows the different areas, indoors and outdoors (there are 2 copies of this). The other scan (reference PS 458) shows the same layout but includes details of where the tables, chairs and other furniture are to go (there are 4 copies of this).
