| Description | File of papers relating to colour comprising an early summary of the development of colour in building 1947-1978, by Brian Cox- a collaborator in Herts County Counil 1946-1949; David Medd's history of standardisation from 1976-2002 from Herts County Council, the Ministry of Education Archrome range (BB No 9), and later through British Standards 2660, and lastly of BS 5252 on the variations BS A800 on paints for buildings; and, draft copies of BS 5252. This is a record of 50 years work, which gave the country for the first time, a BS for colour in buildings. |
