Description | Two minute fragments of different manuscripts, found together. Both paper.
Fragment A: The first fragment has a pencil note dated 1919 indicating that it may come from a 12th-13th century psalter [or found bound into a 12-13th century psalter?]. On the recto there is text from the cantus Gaude Maria: "Gaude Maria virgo cunctas hereses sola interemisti quae Gabrielis archangeli dictis credidisti. Dum virgo Deum et hominem genuisti et post partum virgo inviolate permansisti." This text is in black with red highlights and a rubric. On the verso a different hand has written "Ihesus Maria Johannes Elisabet" in red.

Fragment B: Probably the top corner of the leaf, this fragment has text that covers approximately 50% of each side, the rest is blank space. The text is in black in a cursive documentary script, heavily abbreviated.
|
