Description | Manuscript volume, late 15th century: Sammelhandschrift, a collection of miscellaneous texts, some dated 1491, 1493, 1496, and including a Carthusian calendar, sermons, religious poems, prayers, and other texts. With some 16th-century text and annotations. Consists of several booklets bound together, they are in various hands.
Approximately the first third of the volume is on parchment and the remaining two thirds on paper. Bound in tooled leather over wooden boards with two non-matching brass clasps with 'duck-head' decoration. There are many parchment tab page markers, particularly in the front half of the manuscript. |
