AdminHistory | Gordon Locksley Salt (1866-1938) was the grandson of Titus Salt (1803-1876), the Bradford-based manufacturer, politican and philanthropist best known for building Salts Mill, together with the attached village of Saltaire.
Edward Crossley (1841-1905) was a businessman, Liberal MP for Sowerby, and a Fellow of the Royal Astromonical Society. Gordon Salt was his nephew through his sister, Catherine (née Crossley), who married Titus Salt Jr. (1843-1887) in 1866. |
