AdminHistoryThe translation by William Goodyeare, a merchant from Southampton, 'The Voyage of the Wandring Knight. Shewing al the course of mans life, how apt he is to follow vanitie, and how hard it is for him to attaine to Vertue', from the French text by Jean De Cartigny (or De Carthenay, or Carthenie), with a dedication to N R (i.e. Robert Norton), was published by T Este, London, 1607; T Snodham, London [1609?]; William Stansby, London [1626?]; J Cadwell for A Crooke, London, 1661; E Crowch for Andrew Crooke, London, 1670. A new translation by Anthony John Hanmer of the 1572 edition of De Cartigny's work was published by Burns & Oates, London, 1889.
