DescriptionA synopsis of a television production called ‘Three Generations of Children’, a film which analyses three of the British birth cohort studies: the National Survey of Health and Development (the 1946 cohort), the National Child Development Study (the 1958 cohort), and the Child Health and Education Study (the 1970 cohort). According to this document, the film was produced by the University of Bristol, c.1982. The synopsis describes the film as follows:

'This film, Three Generations of Children, gives a unique opportunity to look behind the textbook recommendations about carrying out large scale population research in medicine and the social sciences. It shows the reality of the complex relationships between the interests of funding bodies, academic interests and the concerns and request of Government Departments, Committees and Inquiries.'
