| Description | Papers regarding the Medical Research Council (MRC)’s 1985 review of the National Survey of Health and Development (NSHD). As the NSHD's core costs have been funded by the MRC since 1962, the MRC carries out these reviews of the study every 5 years. They are therefore also known as 'quinquennial reviews' or ‘QQRs’.
The papers is this file resulted from the planning work of the NSHD team ahead of a visit from an MRC subcommittee, which took place on 25 October 1985. This file includes:
- correspondence with the MRC;
- drafts of the 1985 progress report;
- Michael Wadsworth's annex to the progress report, regarding the location of the NSHD;
- a programme for the visit of the MRC subcommittee;
- notes for presentations by the NSHD team, during the visit of the MRC subcommittee;
- an extract from the minutes of a meeting with the Health Services Research Panel, on 26 September 1985. |
