Description | Papers regarding a subcommittee visit from the Medical Research Council (19 & 20 November 2012), to the MRC Unit for Lifelong Health and Ageing (LHA), as part of the MRC's 5-year review of its core funding for the National Survey of Health and Development (NSHD). As the NSHD's core costs have been funded by the MRC since 1962, the MRC carries out these reviews of the study's activities every 5 years. They are therefore also known as 'quinquennial reviews' or ‘QQRs’. The NSHD was in 2012 (and is still at time of writing in 2020), carried out by the LHA.
This file includes:
- a visit programme; - the report of the subcommittee, awarding the LHA high scores; - the written response to the report from Professor Diana Kuh, director of the LHA, including drafts of this document; - printed email correspondence with the MRC, confirming and outlining the funding for the next 5 years; - printed internal email correspondence, regarding the visit; - site visit notes; - a large document entitled 'LHA response to information requested and issues raised by the subcommittee or reviewers'; - presentation printouts; - draft chapters of the report and material for the visit. |
