| Description | Papers regarding the Medical Research Council's 2012 review of the MRC Unit for Lifelong Health and Ageing (LHA), as part of the MRC's 5-year review of its core funding for the National Survey of Health and Development (NSHD). As the NSHD's core costs have been funded by the MRC since 1962, the MRC carries out these reviews of the study's activities every 5 years. They are therefore also known as 'quinquennial reviews' or ‘QQRs’. The NSHD was in 2012 (and is still at time of writing in 2020), carried out by the LHA.
This file includes:
- printouts of email correspondence with the MRC;
- reviewers' comments, from the 5-year review visit;
- 'Office Commentary', regarding the progress report, from the MRC Population and Systems Medicine Board (PSMB);
- agenda and notes from two PSMB subcommittee meetings, October and November 2012;
