TitleParker, Constance (wife of Baron Parker of Waddington)
Date1884-1921
DescriptionManuscript. The majority of the letters were written between 1918 and 1921. Three letters were written between 1885 and 1907, covering Parker's thanks to Pearson for his message on her first wedding anniversary, on her husband Robert's slow recovery from illness, and thanking Pearson on his kind reminiscences of her recently deceased mother. Letters dated 1918 to 1921 are about Robert's recovery from an operation, on Robert's death and coping with bereavement, on returning the Pearson's (Karl and Maria) letters to them, on photographing George Fiddes Watt's portrait of Robert, asking if Karl knows the painter of an oil painting given to her husband by his father William Pearson, about clearance of their London flat, about Fiddes Watt's agreement to reproduce the portrait, search for the minute book and other papers relating to the Men and Women's Club, and about how best to fund a memorial scholarship for medical students, probably at Cambridge University, in honour of Robert Parker.
